“Today’s Church and the Leadership Skills of Its Leaders” Part II (“Ye’zemenwa
beteChrisitan Inna Ye’mereewochwa Meseretawee Ye’amerar Silt”—Part Two) is
the second part of the previously printed book titled "Today’s Church and
It’s Servants (Ministers)". The book has four parts to it. And they are:
1. The unity of the church and the congregation. 2. Leaders and their ministry. 3. Leaders and their value system 4. Leaders and the way they finish their ministry years. The primary goal of this book is to provide scriptural guidance to leaders so that they can properly execute the leadership responsibilities given to them by God. The call and establishment of the church is to reach the lost, to encourage and nurture believers for spiritual growth and to honor and glorify God. The church needs spiritual leaders who lead their own lives according to God's word and who stand on the Truth. If the church doesn't have these kinds of leaders, then she can't properly fulfill her call. She also can't give the honor and glory due to God. Even though we don't claim that this book holds all the leadership styles, we hope this will be a starting point for futures books that will be published. There are many secular authors that have written books on leadership and leadership styles. They have their own theories of what leadership is, which in many ways is different from spiritual leadership. That is why we need to be careful and take precautions not to take all the ideas they present in their books as a guide to lead the church. At the same time we want to clarify that we are not saying that secular books on leadership are useless and shouldn't be read. The reason we took a lot of time to write and present this book to you is to provide useful, practical lessons and ideas that will allow you to be the kind of leaders God wants you to be for his church. We also want this book to give you the needed wisdom and knowledge in your effort to spread the kingdom of God by trying to reach the world with the gospel. The book is in Amharic, the national language of Ethiopia. |
